An inaugural UTMB World Series event through Utah's legendary Wasatch ridgelines, from alpine forests to panoramic views of the Great Salt Lake
Snowbasin by UTMB brings the World Series to Utah's iconic Wasatch Mountains for the first time. Set within the legendary Snowbasin Resort, host of the 2002 Winter Olympics, the course winds through aspen groves, fir forests, and sweeping ridgelines with stunning views of Ogden and the Great Salt Lake.
Snowbasin by UTMB marks the arrival of the UTMB World Series in the heart of Utah's northern Wasatch Range. Set within the legendary Snowbasin Resort, one of North America's oldest continuously operating ski resorts and host of the 2002 Winter Olympics, the event offers 58K and 28K courses that traverse 3,000 acres of pristine mountain terrain just outside the city of Ogden.
The trails weave through diverse ecosystems: sagebrush flats, shimmering aspen groves, towering fir forests, and open mountain meadows. Runners climb to high alpine ridgelines where panoramic views stretch from the craggy Wasatch peaks to the shimmering expanse of the Great Salt Lake, before flowing descents carry them back through the resort's outstanding infrastructure.
More than a race, Snowbasin by UTMB celebrates the deep connection between mountain culture and community. The iconic « Meet at the Moose » gathering point brings spectators into the heart of the action, while the Cares Bibs initiative channels race proceeds into local Ogden community projects. Minutes from the finish line, Ogden's vibrant downtown offers dining, live music, and a thriving outdoor culture that extends the experience well beyond the trails.
