The Bigfoot Half Trail Run is a half marathon at Stoney Run County Park in Hebron, Indiana, run as two laps over grass fields, pavement, gravel road and dirt singletrack. Organised by the Crazy Legs Race Series, it keeps a friendly, old school spirit, from the Bigfoot hats at packet pickup to the popsicle stick handed in at the finish.

The Bigfoot Half Trail Run takes place on Saturday 14 November at Stoney Run County Park in Hebron, in northwest Indiana. Put on by the Crazy Legs Race Series, it starts at 8:00 am central time, with packet pickup opening at 7:15 am.

The half marathon is run as two laps of the same loop, with a short overlapping section on each lap. The course mixes grass fields, pavement, gravel road and dirt singletrack, and the rule is simple: follow the flags, not the runner in front of you. The main aid station sits at the start and finish with water, Gatorade, granola bars and UCAN gels, and an unmanned station at mile 3.5 of each lap offers water and Gatorade. Runners who want their own food or gels are asked to carry a hydration pack.

The event has a homemade charm all of its own. Every runner picks a Bigfoot hat on arrival and gets a raffle ticket for the prize table, and timing is old school: you hand in a numbered popsicle stick at the shelter after you finish. There is no formal ceremony; medals go to the overall winners and the top three in each age group as soon as their stick is turned in, and items from past Crazy Legs races are sold with the money going to the park.
